| This class studies the process that Confucianism reacted upon Buddhism in the late Tang dynasty, developed through north Song period and was compiled by Zhuxi, classed by characters and distinguishing points. We will also classify Zhuxi's ideas into the treatise of human nature, cosmology, political thought. and understand their characteristics. Complicated theories, such as theory of liqi and siduan qiqing (四端七情) will be considered.
