The 13th Seoul Castle Walk for International Students
Hi, everyone! Yanghyeonjae - a scholarship foundation for the students of College of Confucian Studies and Eastern Philosophy, announces a special notice. We will hold this year a meaningful event aimed at honoring the spirit of Confucian worthies which has been held in every semester annually since 2015. The event this year will be held in order to promote the communications and friendship with and among international students in the autumn season.
This tour is composed of a variety of events through which participants can walk around the whole area of the Ganghwa-gun district, a major history-bound area of the nation. The program is also aimed at relieving the participants of the stress, by letting them walk freely to experience the sightseeing of valuable cultural heritages of Korea and have a good time.
We hope that many more students can enjoy the special occasion.
◈ The Historical Record of the Seoul Castle Walk (SCW) ◈ SCW, also known as Sun-seung Nori, is a program where participants can walk and look inside and outside the castle town. It starts from dawn and ends by the time when the bells toll in the evening. The mountain path is so rough that people can easily get fatigued at the end. 『Kyeongdo Jabji, 京都雜志』, a document recording the seasonal folklores and customs in the Joseon Dynasty Written by Yu Deuk-gong |
