This course aims to rediscover the significance of local philosophy and Korean philosophy within local traditional and independent cultures, reconstructing them in a manner relevant to contemporary society. Additionally, students will gain experience in addressing regional challenges from a humanistic perspective. The course incorporates both theory and practical classes, allowing students to explore the distinctive features and meanings of local philosophy through local cultural contents and materials. They will then reconstruct these concepts to align with the current needs of the times and regions. Through this course, students will enhance their ability to independently apply philosophical knowledge and methodology to real-world problems.

After distinguishing two types of arguments, deductive arguments and inductive arguments, students will learn important features of each type of argument. In addition, they will learn some basic techniques for distinguishing correct arguments from incorrect arguments. Moreover, students will learn how to avoid various logical fallacies they can easily commit. Through this course, students can acquire an ability to think and discuss logically.
