Professor Park So-jung of the College of Confucian Studies and Eastern Philosophy and the Administration Office of College of Confucian Studies and Eastern Philosophy & Liberal Arts receive the Sungkyunkwan Family Award at the 26th Sungkyunkwan Family Awards held in the first meeting room of the 600th Anniversary Hall on December 16.
The Sungkyunkwan Family Award was established in 1997 to reward professors, employees, students, and those who have contributed greatly to the development of the school by practicing the teachings of benevolence, righteousness, propriety and wisdom(仁義禮智) based on the founding philosophy of Sugichin(修己治人).
Professor Park So-jung of the College of Confucian Studies and Eastern Philosophy receive the grand prize in the education/achievement category based on her contribution to the development of the College of Confucian Studies and Eastern Philosophy, an academic field that connects the tradition and the future of this school.
In her acceptance speech representing all the winners, Professor Park So-jung moved to Nanyang Technology University in Singapore to realize the globalization and future vision of studying abroad, and thanked the school authorities, fellow professors, administrative offices, and students for their support, she said it was not an award given to an individual, but an award given to a college of study abroad, and she vowed to work harder.
