The College of Confucion and Liberal Arts of this school held the 1st Sungkyunkwan Business Forum Humanities Research Scholarship Delivery Ceremony in Okryucheon on September 22nd. The first scholarship recipients of the honor are Lee Jung-in (2nd Ph.D.), Lee Jung-in (2nd Ph.D.), Ryu Sun-hee (3rd Ph.D.), and Kim Kyu-hyung (3rd Ph.D.) of the Department of History, and 5 million won per person will be provided to publish research papers.
Chairman Jeon Yong-ju (management 74), senior vice chairman Woo Sung-yoon (middle 75), and secretary-general Lee Jeung-sang attended the research scholarship ceremony at Sungkyunkwan University, and scholarship students were encouraged by Shin Jung-geun, Lim Kyung-seok, Kim Dong-min, head of Korean Philosophy Department of Korean Studies, Lee Sang-dong, and Choi.
Chairman Jeon Yong-joo said in a greeting that members of the Sungkyunkwan Forum should support the development of this school, humanities, and Korean studies, and hope that scholarship students will achieve excellent results to develop the humanities field and expand scholarships. Scholarship students also expressed their honor to receive valuable scholarships sent by members of the Sungkyunkwan Management Forum through thank you, and vowed to study harder in the future to meet expectations.
The Sungkyunkwan Business Forum is a group of businessmen from this school, contributing greatly to the development of our alma mater, and the establishment of the Sungkyunkwan Business Forum Humanities Research Scholarship was also proposed as one of the ways to support the development of the humanities field and fostering excellent professors. Reflecting the purpose of supporting scholarships from the Sungkyunkwan Business Forum, the College of Confucian Studies and Liberal Arts established implementation plans and guidelines for scholarship operation, and selected and recommended students with excellent research performance and development potential. Based on the research scholarship support, the scholarship students will study the subject of application for one year and publish the results in academic journals.
